What is PHABC working on now?

PHABC is focused on developing the capacity of the public health workforce, contributing to the development of healthy public policy and developing a sustainable infrastructure. Current areas of focus include:

Building capacity across the public health workforce through regional workshops and the development of a virtual resource centre.
Renewing advocacy efforts through strengthened partnerships and a particular focus on policies that reduce health inequities.
Expanding and consolidating a network for Public Health across the province through the PHABC website.
Engaging in knowledge exchange and supporting the implementation of the Provincial Health Goals across the province.
Monitoring the integration of disease and injury prevention, health promotion, health protection and healthy public policy into health services management and delivery.
